The Girls of MMI

Until just a few weeks ago, you couldn’t get warm water out of the faucets in the bathrooms at MMI (my dorm). The hot faucet on the left was completely separate from the cold faucet on the right, and in order to get warm water you would have to turn on both and then move your hands back and forth. It was weird.

Walter, Gilbert, and I were sent on a mission. We grabbed a few faucets – the kind with 2 knobs (hot and cold) and 1 spigot – and installed 1 in each bathroom. It wasn’t too big of a job, but it was a long time coming in the overall history of MMI.

A few days later an official Raytheon “attaboy” was delivered to the Plumb Shop, sincerely, from The Girls of MMI. Since then quite a few of those girls have stopped me and thanked me, from the bottom of their hearts.

You're doing a great job!
