Cocky,

Thank you for you comments, but actually I wasn't talking about Global Warming at all. I was talking about a bigger problem, Peak Oil. What are you thoughts on that?

No, the sad part is we do NOT need to rethink anything. The 'problem' is an invention. There is nothing unusual about today's temperature (which, by the way, is in decline) and we are not about to overheat and fry to death. CO2 levels are completely within normal range.
Or you can believe Fat Gore, and a few other IPCC bods (in Government pay), rather than listen to the thousands of scientists who do not accept the findings of the IPP-fucking-C!

Exactly, Morgen.

There are so many examples of this crap. I had at least 3 others that I was going to write about, but I thought that maybe I'd hold off for the time being and maybe try to make this a series.

for real, man.

we got back from the ice and all of a sudden it's t-shirts with "green is in" at jc-penny and earth-tone bags for sale at every grocery store.

yeah, those "pro-environment" t-shirts carry a supposedly positive message, but they were still created by sweatshop workers out of pesticide/fungicide grown cotton and shipped thousands of miles to the states on a cargo ship. but i'm giving them $30 and doing my part just by wearing a shirt with an empty message? if you say so.

and sure, plastic bags are worse than reusable bags, but what about the plastic and styrofoam packaging on that organic produce from trader joes? green is in, but in isn't green. that's all i'm saying.
