for those of you running Mac OS X (or windows for that matter) please beware of the new Safari 3 Public Beta. i just installed it, and things did not go as planned.
the browser started up just fine, but it would not allow me to type a URL in the address bar and hit enter to load it. i was able to click the links on my bookmarks bar and my history all i wanted, but shame on me if i thought i could use the keyboard to navigate the web.
luckily, there was a convenient uninstaller included in the download which reverted me back to where i was before. so, i guess if you’re really curious what the new kid on the block has to offer, you could always uninstall if things go wrong.

if you have any “plugins” aka inputmanagers installed, uninstall them and then one by one put them back to see what’s causing the problem.
the same thing happened to me and it turns out about half of my plugins don’t gel with new safari yet, but the other half do. most notably inquisitor does. dope!
sweet. the only thing i can think of that i have installed is sogudi. did that break it for you?
