as i mentioned in the previous post, the comments of one particular list on ListYourList was getting spammed. at the time of that writing, there were about 5 or 6 spam comments. after i made that post, a few more propped up here and there and the total went up to about 15 or so.
but then, just a few days ago, the shit hit the fan. in less than 24 hours the spam was flying in from all directions and pilling up at the door. as i write these words on this very computer, the total spam count is quickly approaching 300!! can you fucking believe that? THREE HUNDRED?!
if you wanted to head over and make a real comment, it might help stop the flood.
UPDATE: it was just brought to my attention that the actual spam count on that particular list is no longer approaching 300, but is only at about 45 or so. that is because shane (the admin for the site) just went in and deleted a shit load of the spam comments. i have no idea how many he deleted, but just this morning alone i saw about 20 more that were posted. we’ll see how long it takes to get back up near 300.
