LOST figures
by Eli
brandon left me a comment on my space the other day that was quite simply the following url:
http://spawn.com/features/lost/
i clicked on it and was whisked away to an amazing display of absolutely beautiful, life-like figures of selected characters of LOST. the website gives quite a bit of info about each figure: figure photos, packaging photos, prop replica photo, quicktime vr, sound clips, figure specs, and a concept sketch. it’s very convincing and amazing to the eyes.
this website says that these figures are “series 1,” which implies that at some point in the future we are going to be given another series of some other characters. i’m pulling for nikki and paulo figures; that’s where i’m gonna spend my money!
of the options included in this series (jack, kate, locke, charlie, hurley, shannon, and “the hatch”), i’d say that locke, charlie, and hurley are the most convincing. in fact, they are more than convincing, they look freaking real. try looking at some of the photos and squint your eyes just a bit, you’ll be convinced.
one of the coolest (free-est) things about the site is found in the downloads section, and that is an Oceanic Airlines luggage tag. it’s a free downloadable pdf that you print, cut, fold, and then attach to your luggage the next time you fly. just a small little flag to fly as a LOST fan.
yeah, I’d seen those figures in my wizard magazine. That oceanic flight tag is pretty fuckin’ awesome. next time I fly I’m definately going to use one of those.
booyah!
