kittens and comics

alright, let’s take this one step at a time:

hannah got two (2) new kittens about a week ago, and they are some of THE cutest kittens i think that i’ve EVER seen. seriously. their names are urchin jr. and slater, and they are sisters. hannah got them from urchin’s litter. who’s urchin? she is mary’s cat? who’s mary? she is bookis’ mom? who’s bookis? he’s a guy that i used to live with and who i currently work with at Nintendo (he’s great!). so there you have it.

urchin jr. is the runt of the litter and looks EXACTLY like her mother. she’s mostly black except for white paws, a white belly, a white jaw, and white whiskers. it is her whiskers (as well as her mothers’) that warrent the name (sea) urchin. slater on the other hand is quite the tabby cat. she’s much fluffier than urchin, but just as precious. (the other 3 cats in the litter were: a white one with grey feet and tail, a grey one, and another tabby with a very white face.)

it is so wonderful having them in the house and playing with them. you can tell right away that they are sisters because they are constantly sleeping on top of each other and playing together and cleaning each other. it’s amazing.

the other night as they were hanging out in our room, i took these videos: kittens 1, kittens 2, and kittens 3.

for some reason the quality went down quite a bit in the transfer to YouTube, but you get the idea. but while we are on the topic of YouTube, i found these two (2) crazy videos while getting the URLs for the kitten videos: red bull music and flipbook robot.

so, speaking of comics, i just found an online comic website that i think is funny: xkcd.com. it’s a very simple idea for the drawings, but they are especially funny or interesting or something (you can read the wikipedia entry here). a few of my favorites are: Playing Devil’s Advocate to Win, The Fast and the Furious, Myspace, Sandwich, Velociraptors, A Simple Plan, Join Myspace, and Zeppelin. i could seriously go on and on.
