rotten, rotten eggs and bologna
the other day we were all sitting around talking about something stinky (probably my farts) and then meredith, in an effort to describe how stinky this thing was, shouted out loud and very quickly, “Rotten, rotten eggs and bologna!” like that was the perfect way to explain how stinky this thing was. hannah thought this was hilarious and we all had a good laugh about it. absolutely ridiculous.
my mom was in town this past week or so. unfortunately i didn’t get to see her that much because i was working and then she went down to oregon to see bumma and bumma (G & G [grandma and grandpa]) with sarah for like a week. but, it was very nice to see her for the bit that i did, and i know for a fact that she enjoyed herself.
the scuba shop
my job has gotten a little weirder the past couple of days. mainly because my boss has gone on vacation and so he decided to do things a little differently around the shop. before he left i was being paid hourly ($12.50). now i’m being paid per item that i successfully list on the website ($12.50), so if i get around 1 item per hour listed then it stands to reason that i will continue to make the same amount of money as before. this new system worked out great on monday: i went in from 11am – 3:30pm and listed 8 items. that works out to exactly $100 or ~ $22 per hour. Booyah! but what this system depends on is that there are actually items that need to be listed on the website. foolish assumption on my part, huh?
well, before he left on vacation he said that he’d leave a list of items for me to list during the 2 weeks that he is going to be gone. so, i work about 3 days a week, about 6 items per day… that means i need a list of about 30 items during his 2 week absense. i went in to work today with a list of 3 things (yeah, 3), and no indication that that list will be growing substantially any time in the near future. i guess i’ll use the next couple weeks to look for a new job.
in other photo news…
i took some pics the other day that i wanted to post here: 1) a time capsule containing tree seeds that is buried in the side walk on 25th ave. who do you think is gonna dig that up? and when? 2) a small bottle of JD chillin’ in a tree outside of our place in Fratmosphere. 4) a beautiful shot taken by meredith inside the downtown library. 3) a coffee holder on a shopping cart… now i know i’m in seattle.
