The Last Two Weeks: Part 1
by Eli
it has truely come to this, y’all. i am prepping my world to move, and i’m not sure how much longer i’ll be doing these updates from the ManHammer. right now i am sitting outside my house with my laptop on a dinner tray and updating this site inbetween selling all of the crap that we’ve been collecting for the past 3 years. it is amazing how much stuff we don’t want, that other people do. just as a point of reference, we worked the yard sale from 10am to 6pm yesterday and pulled in a collective $325! can you fucking believe how ridiculous that is?!?! and we’ve still got quite a few big ticket items left to sell. we continue to rock the yard sale.
also, we (me, drew, and ty) are also pretty busy painting apartments about 65 hours a week. this past week we worked from at least 9am until 9pm but were oft to be out until 1am at times. we did that monday through friday, and when friday came around, we had lost our souls. then, after last week’s painting, we came home and started working on the yard sale and have been doing that ever since. tomorrow we wake our asses up at 8am and go in and do it all over again. why are we working so hard you ask? because it is making us about $1000/week, and right now we need the money.
after we close up the yard sale tonight, we are going to clean the house a little bit more in preparations for the empty house party. it is going to be hilarious and awesome. we’ve raised $325 at this point, and we’re going to use that money to provide 3 free kegs to those in attendance at the last ManHammer party EVER. it truely is amazing. and the funniest part is gonna be that there won’t be any chairs or couches for people to sit on because the house is going to be completely empty (save kegs and a stereo). i have a feeling that it is going to be a little awkward because no one is going to know what to do. that party is a week from yesterday, and we have to have the entire house completely empty by that time. crazy!
the following tuesday (after the party on saturday the 13th) we have our move out inspection, and we are GONE! i personally am staying in bloomington for another couple months while staying at a friends house, and then heading out west to seattle. drew and ty are going to play homeless for a week or so, head home to noblesville for a bit, and then leave on september the 8th. hard to believe isn’t it?
Good luck with all of that shit, boyz. You know what comes before Part b? PART A! I wish I could be there for the last manhammer party. Let all involved know that I found the manhammer to be pleasurable most of the time.
you are such a bastard nate, we have to live here! this is our home! wtf!
