My Defense By:Meredith Brooks
I decided for some of these "blogs", that shout out ridiculous aspects of me, I would some how defend them and try to show others.. its really not so ridiculous. "Close the Door 78%" My reaction is this. Growing up as a girl, slumber parties and sleep overs were always exciting. But after the barbie playing and dressing up was over it was time for bed. My friends really fell into three categories, three different kinds of sleepers. There were the "night light sleepers" who slept with the door shut and night light on. There were the "wide open sleepers" who slept with the door open, making it easier to run away from the scary things inside the room. And the "shut all the way sleepers" who kept the door shut to keep the scary things outside the room away. Most my life I was a wide open sleeper because I was afraid of well damn near amost everything. Now that im so much more mature and rational, I know theres nothing under the bed, so I prefer NO LIGHT what so ever while im sleeping. I have a kitty though who usually sleeps in the room, but sometimes doesnt come to bed in time. So, I leave the door just enough open to let her in, and enough closed to keep the light out. Ridiculous? I think not!

I am FINALLY replying to this absoooolutly ridiculous website and not quite sure where to start. To my loving and brutally honest mother, "you go girl". However, having known you for almost 22 years now, my retaliation could be just as brutal. Remember YOU gave me my nose, squinty eyes, striking good looks and charm and.... oh yes.. absolutly ridiculous beliefs, attitudes, and persona. So I take about 22% of the blame leaving you with oh 78%.. all fingers are pointing at you woman. Because mother...we are both ridiculous in SO many ways.

Wassup, E!!! I like the site, it's beautiful. It's really rewarding for me to see every new project you do because each one is better than the last, and I was there for your very first one. I love the point about 78 percent being the perfect mix between bad guy security and cat accessibility. Anyway, have the weekend off and am going to run some errands. One of the errands will be to call everyone, so talk to you soon. Andy.

i am meredith's mother. may i add some absolute ridiculousness? being her mother, i have so many...this summer, when she rear-ended an SUV and totalled her car, she left the car at our house to deal with. my brother and my 18-year-old nephew came to tow it away. because my nephew is sweet and naive, i told her: "clean out the car before you leave." if you know meredith, well...you know why i would say this. here's what my nephew found: two boxes of clothes (thong on top) various empty food containers. a strapless bra. CD's - like 30 of them - all over the floor. and in the trunk: a moldy cereal bowl.
like i said - i've got a million stories.
